IconShell 2.2
Copyright 93-94 by D.G Sureau. All right reserved.
Class: Disk utilities.
Graphical interface to DOS.
IconShell is an Windows-like interface to DOS, which in most ca-
ses, use same commands. It is a menu program with automatical icon
making allowed, a file manager that is both keyboard or mouse dri-
ven, and in a general manner a easy to use interface to all DOS
commands or shareware programs. Meanwhile it is a short program,
it has built-in various useful functions, as file viewing, file
search, display content of archive and all is executed at a
single click on icons or buttons.
There is also an unique feature or association to launch a file
with a file in process for example, that is greatly praised by
users.
Requirements: An AT with a 80286 processor. EGA or VGA. DOS 3.
Mouse is used but not required.
Installation:
Run the self-extracting archive and copy the files in the root di-
rectory of a disk. I have not anticipated on which unit the user
will install IconShell, and this is better to set the path of all
programs in the icons to avoid access problems.
To start: type SHELLR.
Registration cost: US$ 45
IconShell is a Shareware product. Disk vendors who distributes
shareware programs on diskettes, and BBS are permitted to distribute
Iconshell providing that:
1 - all files in the self-extracting SHELL22.ZIP or SHELL22.EXE
are included on the distribution diskette, with no files modified.
2 - is clearly pointed out that it is shareware.
No preliminary permission to include IconShell into a CDROM needed.
